PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To provide commercial assistance in respect of inventory control and cataloguing of standard stock item.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or Advance Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management/ Materials or Equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
EXPERIENCE:
at least three years of experience in supply chain operations, ideally in the mining sector, with at least one of those years spent in inventory control and cataloging.
Mining experience will be beneficial.
It will be advantageous to have prior experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, ideally a SAP system.

MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Read, comprehend, and implement all current and active inventory policies and procedures (e.g., cycle counting policy and procedure, inventory management with SAP policy).
- Make sure every item is properly categorized in the catalog (standard stock, OAR, production, critical to safety, strategic spares, insurance spare, etc.).
- Help with ANSI processing, including processing ANSI forms, circulating them, monitoring them, and providing end users with feedback after they have been processed in SAP
- Ongoing cleanup of the master catalogue (e.g., updating stock status based on actual status changes).
- Using the relevant SAP reports, continuously modify Min/Max levels in response to variations in lead time and consumption.
- Help identify all items with fixed minimum and maximum levels and update the "fixed Minimum control sheet" appropriately.
- Compile and share the actual lead time with SAP on a quarterly basis.
- Before sending the resulting purchase requisitions to purchasers for action, run MPR, compile, and get approval from delegates of authority.
- To achieve optimal stock—enough stock for end users at the lowest possible cost—determine the appropriate economic reorder quantity (EOQ).
- In accordance with the monthly and annual plan, assist with cycle stock count and annual stock taking processes on the SAP system (PID) booking, cycle count sheet printing, reconciliation, and system modification.
- Spot check in accordance with the monthly or yearly plan.
- Help end users with any inventory-related issues as needed.
- Help discover suitable candidates for standard stock cataloging by identifying recurrent direct purchase requisitions.
- Find duplicate items in the catalog, combine them in the SAP system according to the underlying procedures, and then share the list with warehouse staff to make sure the corresponding goods are either obsolete or merged.
- However, the officer is capable of handling any additional ad hock work that arises during inventory business.
