Position Overview
Supporting branch-level financial management, administration, procurement, coordination, and program implementation tasks falls within the purview of the Branch Accounts and Operations Officer. The role makes sure that every operational procedure is effective, compliant, and in line with the programmatic objectives of BRAC. There are 57 positions available in various regions.
Key Responsibilities
A. Finance & Accounts
- Get all the money that has been collected, prepare bills and vouchers, update the daily cash register, and make appropriate banking arrangements.
Conduct daily and monthly cash reconciliations and examine the DCR and collection ledger.
All branch-level costs and financial transactions should be promptly entered into the accounting system.
Make sure that donor criteria, BRAC policy, and legal requirements are all followed.
Keep all financial and procurement documentation in good care.
B. Branch Operations Support
- Oversee procurement operations at the branch level in accordance with established protocols.
Keep an eye on all branch property, including furniture and electronics, and oversee the stock register.
Assist in organizing field events, such as training follow-ups, YDC and VSLA meetings, and AIM club visits.
Help with choosing club locations, drafting contracts, planning club activities, and handling participant invitations.
C. Technical & Program Implementation Support
- Assist the AIM Branch Manager in organizing, implementing, and overseeing program activities in order to achieve programming goals (AOP).
Act as the hub for digital technologies, such as Binsight, and make sure they are used correctly when conducting household surveys and implementing programs.
Encourage program participants to get their livelihood and education pathway funding on schedule.D. Coordination, Supervision & Administration
- Monthly branch coordination meetings should be co-facilitated.
act as the second point of contact for stakeholders, both internal and external.
Serve as the main point of contact for security and safety issues, including incident reporting.
Assist with safeguarding so that all team members and participants are kept secure.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Diploma in:
- Finance
- Accounting
- Commerce
- Business Administration
- Or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the national or international development sector.
- Experience in managing finance and accounts for development programs, such as:
- Microfinance
- Livelihood
- Education
- Agriculture & food security
- Women’s and girls’ empowerment
Key Skills
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Experience in supervision, monitoring, finance, logistics, and administration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
