JOB VACANCY: Logistics Manager
Location: Country Coordination Office – Dar es Salaam
Organization: Médecins du Monde (MdM)
Médecins du Monde is inviting applications for the position of Logistics Manager to support its mission activities in Tanzania. MdM is a well-established international humanitarian organization known for delivering medical care to vulnerable populations worldwide. Driven by the commitment of health workers and technical experts, MdM designs and implements health programs that place communities at the center of every intervention. The organization has been active in Tanzania for more than three decades, beginning in 1992 with HIV/AIDS interventions and later playing a significant role in community health, harm reduction, and adolescent health services.
Over the years, MdM has expanded its technical expertise and partnerships. In 2010, it initiated the first comprehensive harm reduction program in Temeke—an initiative that contributed to reducing HIV infections and other risks among people who inject drugs. By 2021, MdM had grown into a technical partner supporting harm reduction initiatives in Tanzania and neighboring countries. In 2022, its scope widened further with the introduction of sexual and reproductive health programs for adolescents and marginalized groups.
MdM currently leads and supports projects including the CUTTS Hepatitis C initiative—implemented alongside the University of Bristol, Burnet Institute, INPUD, and community-led organizations. The project aims to strengthen national Hepatitis C responses by offering cost-effective prevention tools, improving access to care for people who inject drugs, and contributing evidence for national policy reform. MdM also provides harm reduction technical assistance in Rwanda under the TUBITEHO project, running from 2023 to 2026.
Looking ahead, the organization plans to expand its harm reduction reach to additional regions, build stronger local technical capacity, enhance sexual and reproductive health interventions, and improve emergency preparedness for crisis response. This broader vision requires strong logistics systems—and that is where the Logistics Manager plays a central role.
