About the Role
The Manager Infrastructure Security will lead the design and continuous improvement of the bank’s infrastructure security environment. This includes securing networks, databases, virtualization platforms, communication systems, and remote access environments across the bank’s head office and branch network.
The role requires someone who can combine technical expertise with leadership skills. You will not only manage security technologies but also guide teams, coordinate incident response, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position where strategic thinking and operational excellence go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities for the Position of Manager Infrastructure Security
Network and Infrastructure Protection
You will oversee the bank’s network security systems, including firewalls, network segmentation, intrusion detection, and DDoS protection. Ensuring that firewall rules are regularly reviewed and properly configured will be part of your responsibility.
You will also manage the Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution to ensure threats are identified and addressed quickly.
Email and Remote Access Security
Email remains one of the biggest entry points for cyber threats. You will manage email security controls such as DMARC, SPF, and DKIM to protect against phishing and spoofing attacks.
The role also involves securing remote access systems to ensure employees and third parties can connect safely to the bank’s infrastructure.

Data and Database Security
Protecting sensitive data is critical in banking. You will oversee database security tools such as Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) and database firewalls.
In addition, you will manage encryption technologies, data masking, and tokenization solutions to ensure sensitive data is protected both at rest and in transit.
Backup and Resilience
The bank uses Air Gap solutions to safeguard critical backups from ransomware attacks. You will ensure these systems are properly maintained and tested for recovery readiness.
Virtualization and PKI Management
You will ensure virtualization platforms are hardened and compliant with security standards. The management of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management, will also fall under your responsibility.
Incident Response Leadership
When security incidents occur, you will serve as the primary point of contact for ICT-related investigations. This includes coordinating forensic efforts, performing root-cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution in line with the bank’s incident management framework.
Vendor and Tool Management
You will manage relationships with vendors providing infrastructure security tools, ensuring systems are updated, licensed, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
Qualifications and Experience for the Position of Manager Infrastructure Security
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role overseeing IT infrastructure or security teams
- Strong technical knowledge of network security technologies such as NGFW, IDS/IPS, NAC, NDR, VPN, and DDoS protection
- Experience with email security protocols (DMARC, SPF, DKIM), WAF, PKI, and database security tools
- Familiarity with encryption, data masking, and tokenization technologies
- Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or PCI DSS
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or ISO 27001 LA/LI will be an added advantage.
