About the location:
Come along with us deep within one of the most renowned wildlife reserves in the world, where the Big Five—the lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros—run wild on the boundless, wild terrain. Our Lodge is situated near to an animal watering hole where you can observe a family of elephants stop for their morning drink. It is situated on a number of raised platforms and walkways.
Our lodge is located in the middle of the Central Serengeti, surrounded by vast grasslands. It is just a 45-minute drive from the Seronera Airstrip, which can be reached by connecting flights from three major Tanzanian airports. This lovely lodge, which opened in December 2012 as part of the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts family, features 77 rooms, including 12 suites and 5 villas; three gorgeous food and beverage venues; our unique Discovery Center, which offers an interactive experience where you can learn about the wildlife, history, and people of the Serengeti; Kijana Kids Club; a spa with six free-standing treatment pavilions that offer custom rituals and treatments that celebrate Africa’s magic and mystique; a fitness center; and a committed staff that will make your fantastic wildlife safaris a reality.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate the specifics of every reservation and record sales from incoming calls and correspondence. Complete internal reservation forms and computer input of reservations.
Run daily reports for the department head, general manager, sales and marketing, operational departments, and department.
Respond to emails from General Reservations and retrieve and distribute correspondence.
Answer incoming calls for reservations.
Respond to concerns from visitors in line with Four Seasons policy.
Handle reservations for WRO, Trust, Internal, and FIT. Call to clear waitlisted reservations and/or confirm non-guaranteed reservations.
Run the relevant reports, look for special requests, and hard block any rooms that aren’t. Notify the manager of any VIP or Special Attention visitors, and help GRS secure their arrival timings. - Handle demands for employee compensation; assist the department head or assistant manager in handling inquiries from friends and family.
Create a new group file, send an introduction letter to the group contact, create a group rate code, confirm the cut-off date, send reminders of the cut-off date, confirm the room block and rate information from the booking recap, hard block suites or special room requests, and clean up previous rate codes in order to process all group turn-overs.
Provide a list of call-in and form groups to reservations and front desk staff, making sure that rate details, advance deposit policies, and cancellation policies are set up for guests to quote, along with group confirmation letters; notify the conference service manager of any special attention or VIP information, such as arrival/departure manifests, billing, etc. - Handle demands for employee compensation; assist the department head or assistant manager in handling inquiries from friends and family.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Actively assist the Green Committee and the Safety Committee.
When necessary, act as a PABX operator and front desk agent.
Help the sales and marketing staff with all visitor inquiries, including walk-in site inspections and heavy phone volume.
Contribute to the creation of all direct sales materials for groups and the travel sector.
If necessary, you could have to move temporarily to The Lodge.
The management may make additional reasonable requests. In addition to or in place of the aforementioned position, you may occasionally be needed to work for the Lodge in another capacity of comparable rank. This may involve relocating your place of employment while taking your personal and professional needs into consideration.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Relevant Diploma/Degree in Hotel /Tourism Management and high school education or equivalent experience
Experience: One to two years of employment in a related position with Four Seasons or other five-star organization.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and speak and write English.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Keep an eye on reservations made at the front desk the previous evening and resolve any persistent problems.
Before guests arrive, get in touch with them or their travel agencies to resolve any differences in their preferences or requirements.
Handle demands for employee compensation; assist the department head or assistant manager in handling inquiries from friends and family.

Give reservations and front desk staff a list of call-in and form groups, make sure that rate details, advance deposit requirements, and cancellation policies are set up for visitors to quote, and issue group confirmation letters; notify the conference service manager of any VIP or special attention. such as billing, arrival/departure manifest, etc.
Always act in a professional manner. Respect the department’s policies and procedures, house rules, fire regulations, and set standards of behavior.
Always maintain a clean, orderly look and wear the assigned uniform. - As specified in the Employee Handbook, arrive at work on time, be mindful of the schedule at all times, and notify the supervisor in a timely manner if you are unable to attend.
Respect Four Seasons’ marketing and sales guidelines while cooperating amicably and professionally with the planning committee and other employees.
Respond to any emergency or safety scenario at the resort in accordance with the crisis management plan.
Respect the Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as outlined in the employee handbook.Important Note: Visa sponsorship is not included in this position.
