What you’ll do
Business Manager & Head of Strategy: CEO Office shall be accountable to enable and manage strategic & operational projects coordinated through CEO Office.
The role will inform strategic direction by providing high-quality insights, analysis, and strategic counsel to the CEO
1. CORE JOB DESCRIPTION
Business Manager
• Actions taken in Management meetings and follow-up of the agreed action points.
• Making presentations for the Board Meetings, Senior Management Meetings, Strategic Meetings, and in country review meetings etc. On behalf of the CEO, based on a sound understanding of the business and business dynamics
• Assist with the preparation of the quarterly Board pack through collaboration with other key stakeholders.
• Interacting with the Finance Director, facilitate and prepare financial analyses of various sectors and the company as a whole.
• Interaction with the Senior Management team regarding strategic and operational issues and follow-ups on behalf of the CEO.
The Business Manager reporting to the MD’s Office will have additional duties as may be assigned by the CEO.
Head of Strategy
• Work the CEO and EXCO on strategy development, communication, and implementation at an appropriate, long-term perspective for Tanzania, aligned with Vodacom Group strategy.
• Work with the Group Strategy team to ensure consistency and alignment with the Group Strategic Direction.
• Provide support in implementing special strategic projects in Tanzania to ensure alignment of focus of the business. It is the duty of the executive to monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives to ensure that the strategic priorities are achieved.
• Lead thought leadership strategy for Vodacom, with deep insights on both global technology and telco trends.
• Build a strong understanding of the global strategic priorities from Vodacom Group and Vodafone
