PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
is to offer technical expert assistance in creating and developing an exploratory pipeline.

implementation of exploration work plans in accordance with E4V criteria and the GGM exploration strategy.

- Bachelor of Science in Geology / Advanced Diploma in Geology or Higher.
- Valid Tanzanian Driving Licence for Light Vehicles.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of working experience in Mineral Exploration, Open pit and Underground mining.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- understanding of the mining cycle, exploration budgeting, and exploration business.
proficiency with computer-aided programs like Leapfrog, Datamine, and Arc GIS.
proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
strong familiarity with 3D geological modeling and the analysis and interpretation of geological data.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- The position holder will adhere to, examine, and carry out the HSE operating procedures and checklists. They will also be able to create plans for improvement or correction.
Before beginning a task, the position holder must be analytical in HSE topics and able to determine what could go wrong and what has to be done to operate safely.
will assess subordinates’ needs for HSE-related training and development and, if necessary, provide both formal and informal training to improve team members’ abilities, knowledge, and awareness.
The exploration process map, which outlines the risks and hazards connected to field exploration work programs, will be routinely reviewed and improved. - will take part in or oversee the investigation and promptly report all illnesses, injuries, and events.
In accordance with rules, the job holder must conduct personal effectiveness assessments and discuss effectiveness with subordinates.
In order to schedule the implementation, the position holder will create the exploration work plans and help the Specialist 3-Exploration incorporate them into exploration strategies.
Based on geological facts and the degree of confidence in the prospective growth of mineral resources and reserves, the role holder will create a pipeline of exploration targets and scientifically rate and prioritize them.
In order to support the resource estimating process, the role holder will always do thorough geological data interpretation, including assay findings and geological model refinement. - In order to develop and maintain a team of subordinates capable of integrating site-based exploration plans that would balance the present and future requirements/options to support the LOM, the role holder will supply technical specialist skills and knowledge.In order to foster and maintain strong technical operational competency for the successful execution of work plans, the post holder will oversee personnel and material resources and determine the team’s technical training and development needs.
In order to guarantee the timely maturity of the exploratory projects to deliver to the business plan, the position holder will oversee the deployment of the procedures and systems required to carry out the work efficiently, monitor progress, and promote continuous development.
Accurate technical reports and presentations, maps, plans, and sections that translate work objectives and business needs will be prepared by the function holder. - To guarantee effective and economical use of technical expertise, financial, technological, and human resources, the exploration approaches will be continuously reviewed.
The position holder will keep an eye on and guarantee the efficiency of quality control and assurance of current operational procedures.
