A Christian-based non-profit group called Maternity Africa works to cure fistulas and give high-quality maternity care to all Tanzanian women who are disenfranchised. We accomplish this by practicing clinical excellence and setting an example of showing compassion, love, and kindness to people of all racial, religious, and cultural backgrounds. Maternity Africa is based at the Kivulini Maternity Center, which is located outside of Arusha, Northern Tanzania.
About the role.
offers general assistance to staff members, which is necessary for the efficient execution of daily administrative and HR procedures. enhancing the efficacy, efficiency, and continuity of HR duties and procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
- Carry the daily administrative and operational duties in human resources.
oversight of tasks and operations within the Human Resources departments.
Verify references for volunteers and new hires.
Create employment contracts as soon as employees are hired, keep an efficient contract planning system in place, and make sure that employees receive probation confirmations when they are due and/or probationary period extensions after consulting with their line manager.
Make sure that every employee conducts exit interviews. Make sure staff final dues are paid accurately and as soon as feasible by following up on them.
Help with employee surveys on a range of topics related to employment and job satisfaction.
Make that the employee returns and records all Kivulini resources, including as keys and clothes. - Follow up to make sure that all new hires receive orientation plans and procedures, and that paperwork is kept in their files.
Make that international workers and volunteers receive the appropriate work permits and visas in a timely manner and that they are kept current.
Keep personnel, recruitment, and other files up to date to facilitate effective retrieval, referencing, and reporting.
Keep an eye on employee leave status, making sure the leave database is updated on a regular basis and that employees receive monthly status reports via payroll and finance.
Make sure line managers are aware of when employee contracts are about to expire or renew, and promptly send out staff reminders or renewals when necessary. - Make sure the Human Resource database system is used accurately, promptly, and with the proper updates. Setting up new hires, firing departing employees, changing personal information, updating contract details, entering performance ratings, training data, and staff absences are all included in this.
Keep all staff records private, whether they are kept manually or on a computer, and make sure they are stored safely.
For technical assistance and updates on the HR database training, communicate with the IT department.
Pull staff attendance reports, examine them, and inform line managers of any patterns or irregularities you find.
Examine all of the organization’s monthly rosters to make sure they adhere to the applicable work and employment regulations and are updated to reflect any necessary modifications. - Collaborate with the HR Manager to improve administrative and human resources procedures, plans, and concepts in a creative, inventive, effective, and efficient manner.
Qualifications and certifications, Experience and Skills required.
- a diploma in public administration or human resources management.
outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
proactive and excellent organizing abilities.
familiarity with Tanzanian employment regulations.
