Job summary for the Direct Sales Agents (Maafisa Mauzo)

The main purpose of this role is to support the sales of Retail Banking liabilities and deposit products at the branch in order to meet agreed sales targets. The position also focuses on proactive customer engagement and delivering excellent customer service in line with the bank’s business goals.

Key responsibilities for the Direct Sales Agents (Maafisa Mauzo)
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying customer needs and promoting suitable liabilities and deposit products to help achieve branch sales targets. The role also includes engaging customers for account opening in accordance with NBC Bank policies and procedures.

In addition, the candidate will provide direct sales support by generating and converting quality leads into actual sales. These leads may include potential bank agents, Lipa numbers, insurance opportunities, and retail loan prospects. The role further requires participation in sales activations and campaigns aimed at meeting specific branch targets.

Another important responsibility is onboarding customers onto NBC digital banking platforms such as the NBC Kiganjani app and USSD services. The candidate will also be expected to strengthen relationships with existing customers by supporting dormant account activation. Any other duties assigned by the Branch Manager may also form part of the role.
